The requirement for the long maintenance periods of the pipe lines brings the need of high amount of resistance to the environmental effects for the coatings. In todays world, there are lots of different outer coating systems are being used in order to prevent corrosion and mechanical/chemical effects. While single layer Fusabonded Epoxy systems are being used in The USA, in Europe and Asia three layer polyethylene coatings are preferred.
Process 1, Preparing the surface of the pipe (Sanding) 2. Applying epoxy powder paint to the pre-processed pipe for priming 3. Applying layer bonding copolymer as the mid-layer 4. Application of extrude polyolephyn as the final layer.
